I didn't go to "Samir and Aly",
I didn't go up to the Moqattam nor visit the pyramids,
I didn't eat at Chili's nor hawawshy somewhere in Downtown.
The thing is I didn't bring a henna tattoo
nor halawa, nor tamr hindi, nor sweets from "Le Poire".
And all this made me feel during part of the trip that, somehow, I hadn't planify well enough my stay in Cairo. Now I know that...
...I didn't visit those places because I was in some others, beautifuls as no others like Salah el-Din Citadel, Moezz Street, Downtown or walking besides the Nile.
...I didn't meet many people I though I count with and, that way, I noticed that actually, I seized my time to be with those who really wanted to spend time with me.
...I didn't eat in some places because now those places belong to the past (and it's there where they should remain), but I knew, however, new places to where I'll definitively come back.
...I didn't bring in my baggage many of the things I wanted to bring because, actually, I spent until the last minute enjoying with people who didn't want to let me go.
And this is a big part of the things that made my pass by Cairo worth that much. Even while it happened I didn't see it as clear as I do now. Perhaps because knowledge, sometimes, arrive just a little late.
